Designed for HDD-only models of the Mac mini (Late 2014), the 1TB Aura Pro X2 NVMe SSD Add-In Solution from OWC / Other World Computing adds 1TB of NVMe SSD storage to your system. Preformatted APFS for macOS 10.13 and later, this SSD connects to your Mac using a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and offers sequential read speeds of up to 807 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 788 MB/s. Also featured is a 1.5 million hour MTBF, an endurance (TBW) rating of 1000TB, an Innogrit IG5220 processor, Synchronous Triple-Level Cell (TLC) 3D NAND flash storage, 7% over provisioning ECC recovery, built-in ECC, an access time of less than 0.1 ms, and OS dependent TRIM support.

Please note that prior to installing this drive, your host system must be updated to the latest available OS using Apple’s factory SSD. If used with systems that have a Model ID of Macmini19,2, Apple Boot Camp is not supported. Also, if you’re using this SSD in a Mac mini that came with a factory-installed SSD or Fusion drive, the additional hardware included in this kit is not required.
